About Blue Fish Pediatrics
In 1985, Dr. Woo Nahm Jung opened the doors to his private pediatric practice at Memorial City Hospital. By focusing on providing the highest quality care for his patients, Dr. Jung’s solo practice quickly prospered. After completing his residency in 2002, his son, Dr. Peter Jung, eagerly joined his father’s practice. Two years later, Dr. Woo Nahm Jung would follow his calling to become a medical missionary to Asia, leaving the legacy of the practice to be carried on by his son.
Although they attended different medical schools, Dr. Chris Pielop’s roommate at UTMB was one of Dr. Jung’s close friends from high school, which allowed for the initial serendipitous meeting of the future Blue Fish founders. After graduating from the same pediatric residency class, Drs. Jung and Pielop ended up working in the same building, one floor apart, which led to numerous lunches and happenstance conversations in the hallways of the hospital and the eventual inception of Blue Fish Pediatrics.
Being like-minded in the key issues of patient education and the judicious use of medications and tests, Drs. Jung and Pielop started Blue Fish Pediatrics in January of 2005. Together, they and the rest of the Blue Fish family proudly carry on the legacy that Dr. Woo Nahm Jung started over thirty years ago – to bring the highest quality care to the children of Houston, Texas.
