Project Description

Born and raised in Houston, Dr. David Kim earned his biology degree from Emory University. Following this, he completed a research fellowship at the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, before obtaining his medical degree from UT Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Kim returned to his hometown to complete his pediatric residency at McGovern Medical School and subsequently spent four years on the faculty there, gaining valuable experience in pediatric care across various settings. He joined Blue Fish with a strong desire to cultivate trusting relationships with his patients and their families.

Board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. Kim is passionate about empowering families with current medical knowledge and enjoys collaborating with them in medical decision-making. He considers it a privilege to provide comprehensive care to children over the long term, dedicated to ensuring they thrive into adulthood.

Outside of his medical practice, he cherishes time with his wife, Jessie, and their daughter. They are members of Living Water Ministry at Hanbit Presbyterian Church, where Dr. Kim participates in short-term medical missions. In his leisure time, he enjoys cooking, brewing coffee, and spending time outdoors with the family dog.
