Project Description

Dr. Katherine Bastie was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended Oklahoma State University where she majored in Health Education and Promotion. After four years out of Texas, she returned to complete medical school at McGovern Medical School – UT Health in Houston, Texas, and she also completed her categorical pediatric residency at McGovern Medical School – UT Health in Houston.

Dr. Bastie has always loved working with children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents. She has served as a camp counselor, church youth group director, and basketball coach, among other things. She values providing high quality care, centered on patient and family education. As a mom, Dr. Bastie feels better equipped to answer questions from parents as she is actively walking the parenting road too!

Dr. Bastie is married to her high school sweetheart, and they are blessed to have one son so far. She is an active member of her church community, and she loves to spend time with friends and family. She is very proud of her Greek heritage and loves to cook and bake, as well as host a good party. You’ll catch her cheering on her Ohio State Buckeyes every Saturday in the fall and watching every Texas Rangers game in the spring – sports are a way of life in the Bastie house!
