Dr. Michelle Tedja was born in St. Louis, MO, but was raised in San Antonio, TX. She attended Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Biology and Anthropology. She received her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2012. She completed her residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2015. She is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Tedja cared for patients in a private practice and in a community-based clinic prior to joining the Blue Fish family in June 2021. She is moderately fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Tedja adopted her fur baby Lola shortly after completing residency and she enjoys taking Lola for long walks or to the dog park. She also enjoys traveling, baking, improving her cooking skills, reading, swimming, yoga, and spending time with family and friends. She met her husband Kelle through a mutual friend who had invited both to Bingo in the Heights. They married in November 2020 in an intimate ceremony witnessed by their parents and siblings.
Dr. Tedja is passionate about developing strong, life-long relationships with her patients and their families while providing quality care.
Dr. Tedja will begin seeing patients at our Memorial location on June 1, 2021.
