Project Description

Dr. Khushbu Agrawal (pronounced “Ag-ruh-wall”) was born and raised in Sugar Land, TX. She completed her undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin and went on to receive her medical degree from Texas A&M University’s College of Medicine (while remaining a loyal Longhorn throughout). She returned to Houston for her pediatric residency at McGovern Medical School and had the distinct honor of staying on as a Chief Resident for a year before joining Blue Fish in the Fall of 2020. She is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

While training at the world-renowned Texas Medical Center was an undoubtedly invaluable experience, nothing has prepared Dr. Agrawal for pediatric practice more than becoming a mother herself. Since marrying her middle school sweetheart in 2017 – Dr. Kevin Tzan, an anesthesiologist at Ben Taub Hospital – the family has welcomed three adorable boys – Jayden, Niko, and Luca. Her personal experiences navigating the joys and struggles inherent to parenthood inspire her to seek empathetic long-term relationships with new parents. Dr. Agrawal is focused on providing her patients with up-to-date, evidence-based care, and has a special interest in newborns and breastfeeding. She recently pursued additional training and is now a board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC).

Outside of medicine, Dr. Agrawal’s other passions include traveling the world and sampling delicious ethnic cuisines. Her greatest adventure to date has been shark cage diving with Great Whites in South Africa. She feels incredibly fortunate to serve the wonderfully diverse community that she grew up in and is thrilled to be a part of the Blue Fish Sugar Land family!
