Dr. Adrian Bayona

Dr. Bayona was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and spent a couple of years in Ann Arbor, Michigan before becoming a southerner. She grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, just outside New Orleans, then moved to San Antonio for high school. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and will be a Longhorn for life! She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for her medical degree, where she met her husband on the first day of school. They moved to Houston together for their residencies. Dr. Bayona completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas McGovern Medical campus, working at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, and M.D. Anderson Hospital. After residency, she was chosen to serve as a chief resident for a year, allowing her to function as an attending physician and focus on resident education. She is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Before working at Blue Fish, Dr Bayona worked for five years as a pediatric emergency room physician at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land. She is excited to bring these skills to the clinic setting. As a primary care provider, she looks forward to forming long term relationships with her patients and their families. She is eager to help new parents enjoy the wild ride of parenthood and share in the joy of watching their little ones grow. She has a passion for breastfeeding and helping parents optimize sleep and schedules with new babies. Dr. Bayona is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Bayona lives with her husband, an emergency medicine physician, their two young boys (born in 2020 and 2022), and their schnauzer mix, Patterson. She enjoys exploring parks and restaurants with her boys, University of Texas football, the Astros, cooking, and traveling the world with her family. Their toddler’s favorites so far have been Disney World and Mexico.
