Project Description
Dr. Mary Krueger was born in Leavenworth, Kansas but lived all over the United States while growing up as a military child. After graduating from high school near Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Krueger moved to Texas to attend Baylor University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. After college, Dr. Krueger moved to Houston where she completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. It was during this time that she fell in love with caring for children and went on to complete her pediatrics residency also at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She trained at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital, Lyndon B Johnson Hospital, and MD Anderson. She is board certified in pediatrics and recently worked for Kelsey Seybold in the Kingwood/Humble area before coming to Blue Fish.
Dr. Krueger has been named one of Texas Rising Stars by Super Doctors for 2018 and 2019 as published in Texas Monthly. She believes that healthy lifestyle and good nutrition are highly important and helps support this mission in the Houston community as a board member for the non-profit organization Urban Harvest, which promotes community gardens and improved access to fresh, healthy foods in underserved areas. She also recently completed a graduate certification from Tufts University, providing her more knowledge and tools to assist her patients and families in choosing a healthy diet and benefiting from good nutritional decisions.
Dr. Krueger loves to work with and educate families in order to provide the best care possible for her patients. She believes that teamwork between patients, families, and medical providers is essential to achieve the best results.
Dr. Krueger attends Trinity Lutheran Church and lives in the Oak Forest area. She is excited to be part of this growing community. In her free time, Dr. Krueger enjoys reading, running, and yoga.
