Dr. Khushbu Agrawal was born in Houston and raised in Sugar Land, TX. A daughter of immigrants from India, she is fluent in Hindi. She completed her undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin with a major in Supply Chain Management at the McCombs School of Business and a minor in Biology. She received her medical degree from Texas A&M University’s College of Medicine (remaining a loyal Longhorn throughout!) before returning to Houston for her pediatric residency at the UT Health Science Center. Dr. Agrawal had the distinct honor of staying on as a Chief Resident to the residency program for a year before joining Blue Fish Sugar Land in Fall 2020. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
While training at the world-renowned Texas Medical Center was an undoubtedly invaluable experience, nothing has prepared Dr. Agrawal for pediatric practice more than becoming a mother herself. After marrying her boyfriend of 10 years in 2017—Dr. Kevin Tzan, an anesthesiologist in the Texas Medical Center—the happy family welcomed their adorable son Jayden into their lives in 2019. After her family, Dr. Agrawal’s other passions are traveling the world, sampling delicious ethnic cuisines, and admiring wildlife. A perfect day with her family would involve chowing down food in Chinatown after a leisurely stroll at the Houston Zoo. Her favorite adventure to date has been shark cage diving with Great Whites in South Africa!
Dr. Agrawal feels strongly about providing her patients with up-to-date, evidence-based care and is passionate about helping new parents navigate the transition into parenthood. She feels incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to serve the wonderfully diverse community that she grew up in and is thankful to be a part of the Blue Fish Sugar Land family!
