Project Description

Dr. Amanda Ransom was born and raised in Grapevine, Texas. Dr. Ransom attended Texas A&M University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After college, Dr. Ransom moved to Houston where she completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She went on to complete her pediatrics residency at the same institution, where she trained at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, MD Anderson and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. After completing residency, she became board certified in pediatrics and went on to work at a small private practice for two years prior to joining Blue Fish in 2018.

Dr. Ransom met her husband, Lane, at Texas A&M and they married during her residency training. They welcomed their first child, Abbott, in November 2018 and their second son, Lawson in June 2021. They also have two dogs, Winston and Penelope. They attend Grace Bible Church. During her free time, Dr. Ransom enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Ransom has wanted to be a pediatrician since she was a young child, and she loves spending her day with children. She particularly enjoys watching her patients grow and develop from birth to young adulthood, while building lasting relationships with them and their families.
