Melissa Flesher

Registered Nurse / Certified Breastfeeding Counselor / Lactation Consultant

Melissa Flesher is a native Houstonian who has only lived away from the city when she ventured as far as College Station to attend Texas A&M University (whoop!). She was one of the graduates in the inaugural nursing program at Texas A&M in 2010. Since graduation she has worked in various nursing roles from the inpatient bedside of Methodist hospital, the outpatient Head and Neck Surgery clinic of M.D. Anderson, the busy operating room of Berkeley Eye Center and most recently in the role of lactation consultant with her business, Go With The Flow Lactation. 

Having been a nurse for 15 years, Melissa was drawn into the lactation consulting line of work as it personally helped her so immensely. “Every lactation consultant that I worked with has been such an angel and has made such a lasting impact on my overall breastfeeding experience. I knew that I wanted to make such an impact on other parents in my community. So here I am, helping new moms and babies get off to the right start with breastfeeding, saving one sore nipple at a time and reminding you to take a deep breath and Go With The Flow.”

Melissa loves adventuring with her husband of ten years and 3 amazing and hilarious kiddos. She has lived in the Oak Forest area for over ten years and is proud to be extending her roots deeper and deeper into this special community.

This rotation of Blue Fish Pediatrics physicians will collaborate and co-instruct the Boot Camp sessions with Melissa to provide comprehensive clinical expertise!
