Dr. Michelle Tedja was born in St. Louis, MO, but was raised in San Antonio, TX. She attended Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Biology and Anthropology. She received her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2012. She completed her residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2015. She is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Tedja cared for patients in a private practice and in a community-based clinic prior to joining the Blue Fish family in June 2021. She is moderately fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Tedja met her husband Kelle through a mutual friend who had invited both to Bingo in the Heights. They married in November 2020 in an intimate ceremony witnessed by their parents and siblings. They welcomed their son, Lucas, in December 2023. They also have a dog Lola and a pet toad named Robert.
In her spare time, Dr. Tedja enjoys traveling, baking, improving her cooking skills, reading, swimming, yoga, and spending time with family and friends. She especially loves being Lucas’ proud mama.
Dr. Tedja is passionate about developing strong, lifelong relationships with her patients and their families while providing quality care.

Parking: There is free parking in Garage 3 on the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital campus. The entrance to Garage 3 is easiest to find off Kingsride between Gessner and Frostwood, next to the Chase bank branch. There is usually ample parking the higher up you go in the garage. The pedestrian crosswalk is located on the 2nd floor of the garage and connects directly into 915 Gessner (our building). There is also parking on the ground floor of Garage 3, but it is intended for ER parking and costs $20 unless you are seen in the ER that day.

Saturday: Urgent care in 8:30am – 12 noon by same day appointment only*
Sunday: Closed
*Phone lines open at 8:30am. On weekdays for lunch, they are closed between 1:00pm and 2:30pm.

Sometimes, due to technical problems or the fact that the on call doctor is attending to another patient, your call may not be returned within 15 minutes. In this case please contact the page operator again and a doctor will return your call shortly.
During office hours, please call the office at 713-467-1741 and ask to speak to a member of our medical staff.
After hours, please consult Health Topics on our website. If you have further questions or you need to contact one of our doctors, our office recording will give you the number to our page operator.

- Messages received in the afternoon during office hours (12:00 noon to 5:00 PM) will be returned by the end of the business day (5:00 PM)
- Messages received after hours will be returned by noon the following business day.
