Dr. Mary Schlichtemeier was born in Leavenworth, Kansas but lived all over the United States while growing up as a military child. After graduating from high school near Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Schlichtemeier moved to Texas to attend Baylor University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. After college, Dr. Schlichtemeier moved to Houston where she completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. It was during this time that she fell in love with caring for children and went on to complete her pediatrics residency also at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She trained at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital, Lyndon B Johnson Hospital, and MD Anderson. She is board certified in pediatrics and most recently worked for Kelsey Seybold in the Kingwood/Humble area.
Dr. Schlichtemeier loves to work with and educate families in order to provide the best care possible for her patients. She believes that teamwork between patients, families, and medical providers is essential to achieve the best results.
Dr. Schlichtemeier and her husband met after college, although they are both Baylor graduates. They attend Trinity Lutheran Church, where they were married in May of 2014. They recently moved to the Oak Forest area and are excited to be part of this growing community. In her free time, Dr. Schlichtemeier enjoys reading, running, and yoga.
