Dr. Jacob Shaw was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry. He then attended UT Houston McGovern Medical School and received his medical degree in 2018. He completed his pediatric residency training at Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin. During his residency, he was awarded Intern of the Year and received the Karen Teel Resident Award of Excellence for his commitment to compassionate patient care.
Following residency, Dr. Shaw became board certified and worked as a Pediatrician at Bond Community Health Center in Tallahassee, Florida. During that time, he also held faculty preceptor positions teaching medical students from Florida State University Medical School as well as Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Shaw joined Blue Fish Pediatrics upon his return to Texas in 2022.
Dr. Shaw met his fiancé, who is a dermatologist in Houston, during medical school. In his free time, Dr. Shaw enjoys playing tennis, cooking and exploring the Houston restaurant scene.

Sometimes, due to technical problems or the fact that the on call doctor is attending to another patient, your call may not be returned within 15 minutes. In this case please contact the page operator again and a doctor will return your call shortly.
During office hours, please call the office (281) 347-0080 and ask to speak to a nurse.
After hours, please consult Health Topics on our website. If you have further questions or you need to contact one of our doctors, our office recording will give you the number to our page operator.
