Dr. Andrea Nguyen grew up just south of Houston in a large, close-knit family, which helped spark her lifelong passion for caring for children. She earned a degree in neuroscience from Trinity University before attending medical school at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. After moving to California to complete her pediatric residency at UC Davis, she returned home to Houston to care for families in Fort Bend County and beyond. Since 2017, Dr. Nguyen has been building genuine, trusting relationships with families as an outpatient private practice physician, and in 2025 she joined the Blue Fish team. Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
As both a pediatrician and a mom of two, Dr. Nguyen believe in personalized care that meets each child’s unique needs. She takes time to listen, connect, and work closely with families to make sure they feel supported and informed every step of the way. She especially enjoys helping new parents feel confident during the newborn stages and takes pride in being a trusted, approachable resource. Dr. Nguyen also speaks Vietnamese and is honored to care for families from a variety of backgrounds.
Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys life with her husband, an anesthesiologist at Baylor/Ben Taub, their two wonderful children, and a sweet puppy. Together, they love exploring Houston’s many parks and spending time with their large extended family and friends. Dr. Nguyen is also an enthusiastic cook, traveler, crafter, and lifelong reader.

Sometimes, due to technical problems or the fact that the on call doctor is attending to another patient, your call may not be returned within 15 minutes. In this case please contact the page operator again and a doctor will return your call shortly.
During office hours, please call the office at 281-305-5970 and ask to speak to a member of our medical staff.
After hours, please consult Health Topics on our website. If you have further questions or you need to contact one of our doctors, our office recording will give you the number to our page operator.
