Dr. Kristen Diao (pronounced “dee-ow“) was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Her family is originally from Taiwan. She graduated from Duke University where she majored in Biology. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Dr. Diao is board certified in pediatrics and joined the Blue Fish Katy practice in 2019.
Dr. Diao met her husband in Boston through a mutual friend while they were both medical students. Thankfully, they were able to overcome their college rivalries (Duke>UNC) and happily married in 2016. Following their coast to coast adventure from Boston to Los Angeles, they are excited to come back to the south and settle in Houston. In their free time, they enjoy cooking ethnic foods, exploring secluded corners of the world, and spending quality time with family and friends. They love their church community at Bridgepoint Bible Church.
Dr. Diao has always wanted to be a pediatrician and loves caring for children and their families. She believes in forming deep relationships with her patients and journeying with them as they grow up. She is fluent in Mandarin.
