Dr. Kristen Diao (pronounced “dee-ow“) was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Duke University where she majored in Biology. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Dr. Diao is board certified in pediatrics and joined Blue Fish Katy in 2019.
Dr. Diao and her husband have two young children, Claire and James. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling abroad, cooking, and trying new restaurants in Houston. She and her family are members of Bridgepoint Bible Church.
Dr. Diao considers it her great joy and privilege to care for children and their families. During clinic visits, she is thorough in answering questions and believes in working together to provide the best care. As a mom herself, she is excited to help new parents navigate the challenges of having a newborn and enjoys sharing practical tips from breastfeeding to sleep training. The favorite part of her job is forming deep relationships with her families and journeying with children as they grow up. She is fluent in Mandarin.

Sometimes, due to technical problems or the fact that the on call doctor is attending to another patient, your call may not be returned within 15 minutes. In this case please contact the page operator again and a doctor will return your call shortly.

After hours, please consult Health Topics on our website. If you have further questions or you need to contact one of our doctors, our office recording will give you the number to our page operator.
