Dr. McCorvey-Lofton was born and raised in Houston, TX. She attended Michael E. DeBakey High School for the Health Professions and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University. She is a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2007. After graduating from Texas A&M, she briefly worked with The Children’s Learning Institute at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston. Her love for children sparked her desire for a career in pediatrics. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2012 and completed her pediatric residency training at University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston affiliated hospitals (Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, MD Anderson, and LBJ General Hospital) in 2015. In 2015, Dr. McCorvey-Lofton became board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She joined the Blue Fish family in the summer of 2015.
Dr. McCorvey-Lofton married her husband Richard in June of 2019. They welcomed their daughter, Roslyn, in May of 2020 followed by their second daughter, Rhea, in May of 2022.
Dr. McCorvey-Lofton loves working with families to help them better understand how to care for their little blessings. She has served on medical missions to Belize and El Paso, TX and she looks forward to continuing to serve communities both locally and abroad. In her spare time, she enjoys working out and doing crafts and projects around the house.
