Dr. Claire Lancaster McGhee was born and raised in Houston. She attended Langham Creek High School and graduated from Texas Christian University in 2007, where she majored in Biology and minored in Spanish. She spent a year as an ER Scribe at Harris Methodist Fort Worth and Cook Children’s hospital before heading to medical school. She graduated from Midwestern University- Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. Dr. McGhee first worked with Dr. Peter Jung as a medical student in 2011 and 2012. She completed her residency training at University of Florida Jacksonville in 2015. Dr. McGhee joined Blue Fish in the summer of 2015.
Dr. McGhee met her husband when they were kids and got married in 2016. They are excited to be back in Houston near their families. They welcomed baby Charlotte in August 2017. They added baby Camille to their family in November 2019.
Dr. McGhee has a passion for educating new parents and helping them navigate the challenges of raising little ones. She spent her time in residency focusing on the epidemic of childhood obesity and hopes to help guide her patients to a healthier future. With a minor in Spanish, Dr. McGhee worked in a Spanish-speaking clinic during residency. Dr. McGhee has participated in multiple medical mission trips to Guatemala with DOCARE International. During medical school, she was awarded the Pediatric Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance.
Dr. McGhee attends St. Cecilia Catholic Church, where she was baptized and was married. In her spare time, she enjoys running, baking, photography, and reading. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family!

Sometimes, due to technical problems or the fact that the on call doctor is attending to another patient, your call may not be returned within 15 minutes. In this case please contact the page operator again and a doctor will return your call shortly.

After hours, please consult Health Topics on our website. If you have further questions or you need to contact one of our doctors, our office recording will give you the number to our page operator.
