Dr. Brian Townsend was born in Houston, TX. After a childhood tour in the Midwest and North Texas, his family moved back to Cypress, TX, where he attended high school at Cy-Fair. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, where he met his wife, Jane. They married shortly before he began his medical education at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon graduating medical school, Dr. Townsend went on to complete his residency training in Pediatrics in the world famous Texas Medical Center at UT Houston McGovern Medical School. He is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Townsend is incredibly excited to provide pediatric care to the community in which he grew up. He enjoys providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based information while partnering with families in caring for their children. As a parent himself, he has an up-close knowledge of the joys and struggles of raising children. This inspires him to empathetically assess and treat a large variety of childhood illnesses and conditions.
In his free time, Dr. Townsend enjoys spending time with his family. One of his greatest joys is being a dad to his two daughters. He is an avid sports fan of all Houston teams and the Texas Aggies. His family likes to spend time with close-by grandparents, take walks, swim, and do many other outdoor activities together. During the summer, you can find him either at the beach, fishing, or going to Colorado for hiking and fly fishing.

Sometimes, due to technical problems or the fact that the on call doctor is attending to another patient, your call may not be returned within 15 minutes. In this case please contact the page operator again and a doctor will return your call shortly.
During office hours, please call the office at (832) 334-4011 and ask to speak to a nurse.
After hours, please consult Health Topics on our website. If you have further questions or you need to contact one of our doctors, our office recording will give you the number to our page operator.
